“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17, NKJV
The Fearful Road only takes you down. The moment you get on it, you immediately know that something doesn’t feel right. You no longer recognize your surroundings and everything is looking darker and darker. That’s when you must make a decision to get off that road and get on the Highway of Faith.
The Faith Highway doesn’t go down or grow darker the longer you drive. It goes up and up, and everything gets brighter and brighter. Joy rises in your heart, and you find yourself singing praise to God.
So how do you get on the Highway of Faith? You first recognize that you are not going the right way. Ask yourself, “What am I running from?” “What am I choosing not to do because I feel afraid?” Then you do that particular thing that God is prompting you to do. That one simple act of obedience will get you on Faith’s Highway to a life that goes higher and higher in the Lord. This is the way you become stronger in your faith, by not running or hiding in fear, but choosing to live by faith and in love. This is the only way to truly live.
Prayer: Father God, I receive Your words to my heart. Thank You for speaking to me in such a way that I can understand it. You love me and I love You. Help me not to go down the road of fear, but to stay on the highway of faith. Help my faith in You to win over every feeling I have. I don’t want to go down, I want to climb higher and higher in You. In Jesus name, Amen.
